So far, we had never organised a birthday party for Juliana, as she has a wealth of toys to play with from her siblings and we really did not want any more. But our four year old had been invited to a few birthday parties for friend and understandably for looking forward - very much, I'd say - to one of her own. She chose butterfly as the shape for the cake, which inspired mum to a insect theme for the birthday: the highlight was a treasure hunt where the kids had to look for lollies (freddo frog, lollipop decorated as butterfly) 'hidden' in the garden. They could put their sweets in their butterfly catching net. Juliana unwrapped her presents at the end of the party. After her five friends went home, she got the presents of her siblings and parents. The largest present was a sleeping bag. She liked it!
