Another 31 pictures
We have uploaded on 2nd March another 31 pictures with captions on facebook,
but you also click through the links below.
On 5th March, the family made a trip to the Dutch embassy to get Pietje his first passport. The picture had to be be redone, but otherwise it was just an hour's wait and a fair amount of paperwork. We still need to apply for Australian citizenship as a first step for an Ozzie passport. The passport arrived the next week in the post.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THOSE CARDS!
We keep getting lovely cards for Pietje, some with considerable delay - thanks to Royal Mail no doubt. It is a joy to receive them and thanks
to you all (see here here to see whether you can spot your own card - not all
are visible, we are afraid).
... and life continued in March
After grandma left after her 4-week stay, life continued 'as usual'.
Tanja and John visited us again, we did Pietje's exercise on
the quilt made by great aunt Jo, we had our first
public feed, I got used to dad
eating on me, we went to see
Tracy and
Andries, my godparents, I slept on
mummy, on the
nappy changing unit, on
aunt Pen, next to my dad on the
big bed, I received
Adriana and Rod, I can spend some time in my
bouncy chair without getting bored, I saw
Seena, and in the week over easter
oma visited me for the second time.
Look at these pictures, which show my wide, open eyes and my curious look. The first government authority managed to misspell my name. The last weekend of March, two great aunts, Elisabeth and Aleid and my second degree uncle Maarten (all second cousins in English, I guess) came over for a visit and presented my with a selfmade rammelaar. Finally, before the month was over my mother managed to fill in an enormous form, get a London friend from the Australian army to sign my cued photograph and other declarations, pay a fee and obtain my Australian citizenship by application.
Again, all pictures in these last paragraphs can be seen on facebook (opens new window).
